I venture to propose that we all attempt to be unique and creative individuals. We are not the carbon copy of any other human being, yet we all learn ideas from others. Sometimes we acknowledge our mentors and sources and sometimes we try to pass them along as our own. What do you think about the importance of quoting not only our ideas but also giving them the credit that they deserve? Also, do you think there is a way to 'borrow' ideas and still maintain you unique identity?

if you recopy someones source it i illegal so when you use a source , you can use a sentence or two word for word but you must qoute it and say where that is from and stuff, and it is like you are stealing someones work
Welllllll, when you use are quoting from a source, you should give credit where credit is due. If not, that is plagiarizing. Plagiarizing is illegal and you should not do it. I don't think that there are "borrowed" ideas. But I do think that there are things such as borrowed quotes and stuff. For example, I use many quotes and lyrics that I feel describes me or relates the most to my life. As long as you give credit, it's not plagiarized or stolen.
Well, my opinion is that you can always make and idea your own in one way or another.
For example, if someone has an idea or theory you can test that theory and change it to fit your beliefs but i think that you should not take credit for the original idea, only your own changes to it.
if you quote an idea that is not yours then it is plagiarizing. If you quote someone else and state where the source is from or change it, then it is not plagiarizing. It important to give credit because it is not your idea.i think what you mean by "borrow" is by changing it around, but using your own words. Then this can maintain your unique identity.
my opionion is if u sayy something from a source it's factual but if u say it after someone repeated it, it might not be as factual as gettin it from the source.

Illegal reproduction of another's work is frowned upon in soceity. Sure, sometimes it may be necessary, but unless you really have to, don't plagerize.
I think it is good to refer to another person work to express your own but if you do not give that person credit it takes away from being your work.
borrowing idea's is not maintaining your own identity in anyway. Its taking the source from someone else and trying to make it your own
