Your Experiences.

You all feel that it is not good to be shy, and refrain from questions. How do YOU express yourselves with this value?
Do you remember my quote of Professor Strunk? How does the idea of not being shy, fit with the adage 'there are no stupid questions?'

There are a lot of questions, and I hope you aren't shy in sharing your experiences and opinions.

Responses due Monday.

Sometimes people are shy because they feel that their questions are stupid, and they don't want to be embarrassed. I personally, I have done, said, and asked many stupid things and gotten laughed at for them. I may even sound stupid for saying I didn't completely understand this post. :D

I agree with Morgan. It not the best characteristic to be shy in life. People are shy, as morgan said, because they are afraid of being embarresed. Sometimes, when you answer a question, it could be right because you are listening in class. YEAH, so, i dont understand the first question

Sometimes people are shy because they are embarrased to learn. We shouldn't let being shy get in the way of learning. The only way to learn is to ask questions. I didn't exactly get the post either.

For myself, being shy can be a sign of being embarrassed. For instance, whenever I meet someone new, I always am compelled to feel at least a little shy.

Sometimes i feel intimidated by other students at this school because people usually get it before i do. And they try and be like oh Emma your so dumb and stuff. So thats why i dont ask questions a lot because its embaressing

I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO DIDN'T UNDERSTAND THE POST!
That makes me feel better :D

See? I made a simple statement that I thought was stupid, but actually, it wasn't that stupid. People can't be afraid to ask.
(And yes, this is my second time posting on the same post.)

I can relate to this quote on so many levels. Here's an example: If someone is talking about a movie at break or lunch with another person and I am sitting with them and have not seen the movie, I tend to be quiet because I obviously had not seen the movie and didn't have anything to add to the conversation.

I'm not sure if that's exactly correct or relates to the quote though.
