I must say, this is a powerful statement. One could be extremely learned and pious, but if s/he does act with caution and value each person then it is as if the actions are for naught.
Do you have a personal example of a time when this occurred? Be careful, we don't want you to use names here and further embarrass someone else. Use fictitious names, letters or numbers.
I will share with you a great story in the Talmud about how to explain embarrassment, and how embarrassment is equated to death.

People who are jerks, bullies, rude, and/or mean for no reason confuse me. Usually some bullies only bully because of THEIR insecurities. Of course, this is the wrong thing to do, but some people are raised like this.
For example, I knew this girl named Jenna. She was so mean to me in 4th grade and I didn't understand why. She always insulted me. Then she suddenly started being really nice to me. I soon found out it was because she was copying my work :/ I knew she didn't get good grades so maybe she picked on me because I did better than her in school?
If someone learns the torah, and humilates another they are hipocritical. The torah teaches what the difference between good deads and bad deads. Usually, many of these people are bullies.
My example: One kid was only nice too me because i gave him fruit rollups. Ha. Now he is fruit rollupless. I think this is the answer to the question.
Yes, One time there was someone that I like to call "Ooga Booga". He told me that I was stupid and I had no life. As it turns out, he is stupid and has no life. Touche.
bullying is not nice, it hurts peoples feelings but sometimes it needs to be done to help some1 if tht makes sence
bullies are just people insecure of themselves and it makes them feel better to put someone else beneth them
Just because you do good deeds and learn Torah does not make you a pure person. There has to be a person that wants to do all of these deeds. Doing them aimlessly is just as bad as not doing them at all.
bullying is wrong no matter what!
