Can you take back something that you have said about another? Just the same, who is responsible for spreading gossip? The source? or sources? or middlemen/women?

I think that you can only take something back that you have said to another if they let you. For example, if the thing you said was very hurtful, chances are that they won't forgive you. We are all responsible for spreading gossip and most of the time, it just slips out of our mouthes.
I have heard this story about the pillow and the feathers before and I think it is a very interesting story because it's 100% true. For example, one time my friend accidentally told me something she wasn't supposed to and it's not like I told anyone else. I kept it to myself but the girl it was about didn't feel that way and got mad at both of us. You can't take things back after you've said them. All you can do is apologize and hope things blow over.
no you can not take some thing you've said back because it is a sign of weakness and hypocrisy.
If you say something, you better damn mean it.
Otherwise, you make a joke of yourself.
No you cannot take back something that you have said about another. Whats done is done. You may apoligize but he or she will remember it forever. Everyone spreads gossip most of the time.
How can you take back something that you already said? You can't. Everyone, from the source, to the sources, and the middleman, are all responsible.
I hear this story a lot. And i totally agree with it. Its very true being in this small school made me relize that you cant trust anyone because ounce you tell someone in the matter of 5 min. someone else will know.
Gossip is one of the leading contributors to the downfall of society, it does nothing but harm us emotionally, and sometimes, rarely.
